After leaving Medellín, we made a quick stop in the beautiful town of Jardín. The following day, we set out for Salento in the "zona cafetera" (coffee-growing region of Colombia). What was supposed to be an easy day of riding turned into something much more challenging and interesting. See the video below. :)
For any fellow riders watching this...this was one of my first times riding a non-paved road so I use the term "off-road" liberally.
I was waiting for the off-road part of the video 🙄 but all I saw was dirt roads, and those are the highway in many areas. Off-road means no road at all to me. But the dirt roads you were on look much better than paved roads to me. Passing the logging truck was a great addition to your trip. A most excellent adventure!
